This whole past school year I have struggled between the desire to give my class (6-7 years old kids) the pleasure of reading in English, and between the unpleasant habit of the English words to be written in a different way than they are spoken.

It might seam a bit old-fashioned, but my strong advice is to ALWAYS prepare a detailed lesson plan for each of your lessons. Ideally, with one or two extra activities in case of unexpected spare time. This is an example of my lesson plan for
